I do understand that there are times when a female agent is preferred - for example, when the protectee is female, or when a person must be frisked/removed from the site.

However, they should NEVER be used when muscle is required. They just don't have the capability - nor, for that matter, do MOST males.

Agents in the field should be:

- With a MINIMUM height of 6 ft. That facilitates protecting presidents, who tend to be taller than the average.x

- Be able to pick up 250 pounds dead weight and run with it (admittedly, this may only be necessary for short distances). NOT drag it, roll it, or need the assistance of other people. By themselves.

- Marksmen at varying distances, with the ALL the weapons agents might need.

- Regular, monitored practice at smoothly pulling and holstering weapons. If adaptations have to be made (such as a holster setup/placement at the widest part of the hip), do so.

- Regular drill on entrance/evac procedures. Regular testing, both on the book procedures, and in a practicum test.

And, for God's sake, don't put women in the highest-risk protectee's team before they have PROVEN themselves in multiple less risky assignments (First Lady or other low-risk individuals). Any agent whining or complaining about this needs to be DUMPED from the Washington assignment, and sent to a remote place to improve her attitude, and if she still bitches, fire her.
