I, too have found it mystifying that we have almost no information about the subway immolation victim. I know nothing about her save her name. It is as if she is not a real human being, but only a prop in the larger stage produciton of "Life (or What Passes For It) in New York City." What was she doing asleep on the subway at that time of day? Why did she not realize her clothing was on fire sooner? Why did she do nothing but stand stoically in the doorway while she burned? Is nobody curious enough about her to at least seek out her family for a reaction? It seems that every time a gangbanger gets shot by the Police his "fambly" shows up with some lawyer demanding "justice for Tyrecious," or otherwise establishing a scam/grift/con. Did this woman not have anyone in her social orbit to at least come forward and tell us something about her? It is passing strange, to say the least.
