I am not going to pretend that I know what it all means, because I do not know what it all means. For the moment, the Western world, comprising the United States, France and Great Britain is consuming itself with politics. And especially with radical political transformations.
France does not have birthright citizenship (in the US sense) since one of the parents has to be French. If both parents are not French, then there is a sort of second-generation letout that if one of the parents was born in France, even though not French, then a baby born in France is French.
