I wonder whether the split in results is only describing the difference between introverts and extroverts. Extroverts may miss the bustle and connection of crowds, but as an introvert I've never cared for it. I'm much happier with long stretches of quiet solitude. I don't want or need to be completely disconnected, but I also don't want or need constant contact with a large number of people. My husband and I both positively reveled in lockdown. I cheerfully declined all requests to meet to discuss things with people outside my intimate and dealt with them instead by phone or in writing. Make your (relatively impersonal) proposal make sense: I don't need eye contact to evaluate it.
