I have recently bcome across three articles in which the authors can't seem to bring themselves to think that possibly going back to church and being part of a congregation were part of the "answers" they were suggesting. One author was writing about how we can make Monday less stressful and less dreadful. He proposed setting Sunday aside to do less work, to do an hour or so in mediation, and to spend more time with friends or family doing something relaxing, maybe have a relaxing Sunday brunch together. Another author was writing about how to make our lives less miserable in general: he proposed joining a group that has a "higher purpose" and that meets regularly, preferably weekly, that the whole family can be a part of. The third author was bemoaning the fact that we no longer teach children morals. He suggested make it part of the school curriculum.

NOT A SINGLE ONE SUGGESTED GOING BACK TO CHURCH. Not a single one suggested that by cutting church out of our society has led to a general misery.

Maybe so.

However the trouble with the "... small but symbolically important step in climate apostasy..." and all the small steps in other apostasies is they're small and our duly appointed leaders keep running right over them without even noticing.

None the less, prove me wrong. Please prove me wrong.
